Looks like I&#039;m the only commentator on this post.  Maybe I&#039;m not clicking on the right link; I don&#039;t know.

Anyway, I just want to say that, every time I&#039;ve stood up to a sexist remark (which is every time I hear one), I&#039;ve been told by women and men alike that I basically shouldn&#039;t have said anything.  I find it appalling.  So many women just sit there and allow others (me) to take the hit in the name of our entire gender.  I feel like it&#039;s not fair.

No, no one ever offers better ways of combating the problem; they simply suggest that I not combat it at ll.</description>
